I have leased and purchased several cars throughout the years from a variety of dealerships from around the Lansing area. With that being said, I will have to say LaFontaine is by far the BEST I’ve come across so far. I was Recommended by my friend from work that just bought a car from Brevin. Brevin had the weekend off when I contacted him by phone, but you would’ve never known that. He went above and beyond to help & guide me while he was off for the weekend. Went in and saw Zach the manager which he was Amazing, he answered a lot of our questions. Ended up going in early the next week and purchasing a Buick Enclave from Brevin. He was so patient and kind, never pushy and would highly recommend Brevin and LaFontaine!! Also, I can’t remember the finance manager’s name. But she was the Best also! So upbeat, so kind, I just felt like she really cared & loved her job. It wasn’t just about them selling a car, but about them making you feel part of their LaFontaine family!

The service was great and the techs were friendly. I did have a concern about the noise in the dash but they said they could not hear it. Unfortunately it is very noticeable, even more so now that I have it back. They offered to ride in the truck with me to hear it and I believe I will be taking them up on that soon.

Worst experience I have ever had getting my car fixed. I was charged $695 FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. $335 of it was parts that I was told was in my car glove compartment. They weren’t anywhere in my car. So I paid $700 for absolutely nothing AND it’s just 1 front left headlight and you wanted to charge me $2300+ to fix 1 headlight & you charged me $700 to do nothing. I WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK TO YOUR DEALERSHIP! EVER!!! That is borderline criminal and you should be ashamed of your business practices.

Why do the Service Advisers get to sit while the customer has to stand off to the side as the Adviser reviews the car history, goes through multiple screens to check on recall items, and related suggestions for additional service suggestions (all of which can take up to 12-15 minutes). Kinda rude and makes the customer fell like a second class citizen. Certainly calculated to pair with an overall arrogance which pervades the service area. Not really consistent with any concept of "customer service".

We toiled over the decision to buy a new car for a couple of months and finally determined that if tariffs were truly in our future, then "now" was the time to buy. Throughout the fall, into January various LaFontaine sales personnel reached out to us. While we didn't have a "go to" representative the person who picked up the phone when we called was Andrew, a positive, high energy guy who wanted us in another Buick. The "dance" between salesperson, sales manager and client took place in a tedious way. Our needs were voiced, they were met. When a price was presented, I believed it was outlandish so I began shopping and found two other units matching most of our needs, made arrangements to travel to see the units, preparing to move to another dealer. Andrew called to learn how we liked the deal and I explained it was extreme and that I had appointments to look at two other vehicles, one later the same afternoon. When I make a major purchase I like to trust the vendor really wants to sell the product to me. My opinion is that LaFontaine was "testing" me to see if they could scoot me out the door with an overpriced deal. Suddenly Andrew realized my interest in the first deal offered was gone. He called back rather quickly with a far better deal, one very near to what I expected I should pay. Once we reached an agreement on principle I called to cancel my afternoon appointment in Davison, MI. Going forward everything proceeded reasonably. The car was delivered in a snowstorm. I arrived for the 10:00 AM appointment the next day, to receive the car, but several preparation events delayed the pick up and after five-six hours waiting, Andrew arranged a loaner car for me to return home. While I appreciated the loaner car, I really found the wait an abuse of my time. Delivery was made the next day. Papers were signed and we drove off in our new Buick. Jessica who handled the finance issues was another high energy representative. She knows her business and was engaging, just as was Andrew. The dealership was especially reasonable when we realized the GM Discount I presented was not the Family discount, but a Friends discount. The dealership waited for me to speak with my brother to get the proper GM number to complete the transaction. That consideration was appreciated and the manner in which the episode was managed was courteous, empathetic and business-like. We are happily learning about our new car and expect it to provide good service for the next few years.

The technicians apparently were not aware of the manufacturer defect in the lugnuts and were unable to remove the lugnuts to do the tire rotation. A family member that is a service tech at another dealership knew what the issue was as soon as I told them. This concerns me as to the level of knowledge and experience of your service technicians. I may need to consider getting service at a different dealership.

During the first appointment for the problem in late Jan. they attempted to fix the problem, but didn’t. The engine late came back on. When I called they said GM does not allow them to replace the sensor on the first appointment, they can only clean it, which usually doesn’t correct it. So, I needed to take it back to be replaced and fixed correctly. Very frustrating since it was not under warranty and I was paying for it. Time was more the issue. I felt misled and lied to.

I give Bryce 5 stars, as far as the dealership...Not great. Bryce went above and beyond as I was a bit rushed, but it was interesting to see a bunch of other people walking around. I too am in sales, and in our office we all help each other out. There is no reason Bryce should have had to wash the windows or go fill it up with gas right before I was leaving. This probably added 15 minutes to an already long process. Again, Bryce gets five stars, the dealership should not.

Great service and help from Bryce - he answered all my questions and let me take all the time I needed to feel comfortable with the vehicles. Everyone else at the dealership was so friendly during my 3 visits - I had the door opened for me when I first arrived, a manager greeted me each time I was there, even the custodian asked how my day was every time he was passing by. Several people approached me to see if I needed help. Overall, I just felt that LaFontaine valued my business.

I was able to get a loner car while waiting for the part to come in for my car! I had one car for 2 months and then a second car for another month! I called in to check the status and the next day the car was fixed and ready for me to pick her up. I called the dealership multiple times and never did I feel they were tired of my calls!

MyService Writer, Chad, was very kind and helpful. My car needed work done on its exhaust system, because everything past the converter had come loose during rush hour traffic in downtown Lansing, and was dragged on the pavement. I was able to bring the car in right away in the morning, and the service department let me know right away what needed to be replaced and that a part needed to be ordered. The mechanic, Ethan, noted that my brakes were in bad shape, and I decided to go ahead and get those fixed as well. . By the end of the following day, the exhaust system was fixed and my brake pads were replaced and rotors polished to be free of rust. Everything is great so far, it was expensive but worth it. I was very pleased with the people I dealt with.

The experience was great! The mechanics were quick to diagnose issues and service my truck. Took a day or so for parts but got my truck fixed regardless. The video the mechanic took was a neat thing, showing me where my broken parts failed and info on the repairs. Glad I brought it in. They found more issues than what I brought it in for and fixed those as well. Service writer was helpful in getting my truck booked, and even took time to give me a quote for tires! All in all happy with Lafontaine and the service department! I look forward to future businesses with them!

I came in for a schedule oil change and tire rotation. My service agent was friendly and quickly processed the paperwork. We went over services that are recommended at the 30,000 mile stage. I have been adding one or two of these services during the past oil change appointments. My agent reviewed what I had completed to date. Only one service remained and was added for my appointment. I was very surprised that the services were completed ahead of the time quoted to me. I received great service on May 23rd from your entire service staff.

The sales rep, Tyler Ray, was awesome. He was knowledgeable, nice, and accommodating. Rent was also great at going through the details of the car and answering questions. The finance guy guy nearly ruined the experience though. He was over charging until I started adding thing up to demonstrate how he was overcharging for the service package and when I asked for breakdowns of the package he refused to do it saying that because he was giving me a discount he couldn’t do it. Then he tried to say he had to charge an extra $1,000 to cover the conquest discount. But I do love the car and the service from Tyler and Remy.

I was not told before I paid about the 3% charge when using a credit card. If I knew I would paid using a different method. I think it is a bad business practice to pass along the charges from the credit card issuer to the card holder. If 3% is that important to a business of your magnitude, raise your prices. Shaheen does not charge 3% when using a credit card. LaFontaine is a bigger corporation than Shaheen.

My Experience with the guy that was over my Account was Taylor he did an ok job communicating this time around. I wasn't happy about my car having to been Towed there 2 weeks straight because I only purchased the Truck from you guys a total of 6 weeks but 2 of those weeks my truck was there because of not being able to start up. My sales person Gilbert Gonzales was no where to be found and never answered my phone calls. So today is the day after I picked it up but it's running ok now and I pray they found everything that was wrong with it and I don't have to take it back to you guys because I had to take Uber to and from work which cost me $22 a day and I only work 1.7 miles from my house.

My experience at LaFontaine Lansing was excellent. My salesperson Caleb was great with his customer service. I had no issues with him. The only issue I had was with the financial gentleman that came into Caleb's office that spoke to me about credit and interest rates. I specifically told him not to run my credit report through my credit union because they already did and I had pre approval, well, he ran it anyway. I was upset because now it's going to stay on my credit report for 25 months for both hits. That was the only issue I had with this dealership, I am absolutely satisfied with my purchase and with my salesperson Caleb.

I have tried to reach out to a manager twice after bringing my car in there woth getting my car back without it being checked out. I was told verbally and in my paperwork they went for a test drive and found 0 problems. There is clearly a problem with it. I haven’t heard back from management and can’t get through to management. My paperwork states my mileage went up only 1 mile since dropping it off so it is obvious they did not test drive it. My appointment was made for a Friday but my car wasn’t even looked at until Monday when I called to check the status on Monday they said they hadn’t even looked at it yet. Then why would I have even dropped it off on Friday then?? I could have had the car over the weekend in that case. My paperwork says I said it was the suspension. I don’t even know what suspension even means. I have a warranty and just want to get my car fixed.

My salesman was amazing when I bought the car. The service department, was less than ideal. Extremely poor communication. Was fed BS instead of being upfront about time tables. Never received a call with any Update unless I asked first.. and then got the runaround. Finally left a message for the manager and that took a week to get a call back. Then finally got a call and car was done next day. My frustration was more just lack of communication. Just wanted to know what was wrong with my brand new car 4K miles and it took near 2.5 weeks to get that info.

I have been dealing with buying since June. My first experience was great in June when purchasing my 2025 GMC Acadia Denali. A week later, my brand new car was in the service department which would spiral into a 4 month back and forth experience where GM finally bought my car back. I felt the communication between GM, the dealership and myself was very confusing and I was told many times to contact someone from either GM or the dealership and no one really had answers. To say I was frustrated is an Understatement. Once I received the offer from GM to buy my car back, they indicated by email that I would have to finance around 20k. When I finally was able to come in (Tuesday when I took the car home) to see, test drive and purchase the 2026 GMC Acadia Denali they found to replace the 2025, I walked around it to find a paint chip in the passenger side door. They put some paint on it and didn’t properly fix the ding. For a car this expensive and one that is brand new that has been sitting on the lot since early September, I would have expected perfection. I was told I could come see it when I signed the paperwork, despite asking to come see it before. I now have to take more time to take it into the body shop, get another rental for a few days and wait when it should have been fixed and ready for me before I picked it up Tuesday. I am beyond disappointed and upset. I also am experiencing issues already when I reach speeds of between 50-70 mph where the car feels like it is having trouble and making a jerking feeling as it reaches higher speeds. So I also have an appointment with service once it is out of the body shop. Again, taking more of my time to pick up and take back in. Back to Tuesday when I went into LaFountaine, I was there for close to 4 hours which was unacceptable for having an appointment since the previous Friday. At one point, we were left sitting at a desk for close to 40 minutes by ourselves. When we finally met with the finance guy, I did add on oil changes for roughly $900 but somehow my loan is for $23,757, not the $20k I was quoted by GM (and I understand the oil change would be on top of that so still under $22k). I questioned this and somehow I still don’t know where the difference between what GM quoted me and what I ended up with. That difference is well above the $900 for oil changes that I added in. At that point, we were beyond frustrated at the time it took to make this all happen. I had high hopes considering what we have been through the last 4 months. I want to be able to say I am excited about GMC, but I am not. I can’t believe I’m experiencing more issues with my second brand new car. I just wish the sale of this new one was a better experience. With all this being said, I do want to give a shoutout to the service department, especially Tina. She has been very supportive and helpful as well as Savannah and Jason throughout the whole process. I highly recommend the service department.

I did not have my vehicle serviced on 10/28/2025. But I did have my vehicle serviced in July with over $6000 of repairs done and the same service lights is displayed on my dashboard and they couldn't figure out why and never fixed it. I had another repair done and was told that the invoice would be emailed to me and it took two months and the total on the invoice wasn't the total that I was charged. I replied to the email that was sent from the Service Manager about the issue with the invoice and the dashboard light and have yet to hear back. I'm not happy at the moment.

I believe that I was pretty clear when I talked to the service advisor. Oil change, tire rotation, cabin air filter and engine air filter. Oil change was supposed to be $89.95 and somehow ended up costing around $104.13 Not sure I approved the BG Extended Life MOA as part of the oil change at an additional $25.05 Engine air filter time on DIC had not been changed. I drive by 2 other GM dealerships on the way to LaFontaine just saying this was not the be experience.

I took my car in because the service all wheel drive light was triggering, and my rear dried case was broke and apparently there was an oil leak they fixed that, but the light was still triggering, and I was told to just basically ignore it. The module was just messed up. It’d be fine if the module triggered the light more than two or three times to bring it in well it’s been triggering every day consistently so now I have to bring it back in when you should’ve just took it in and fixed it in the first place There is no reason the light should be triggering if the issue is fixed because one should not drive around a car with a light triggering when there’s nothing wrong in a brand new car

I called and asked Service Representative Dalton Carter if the service department could get my truck in for a repair after it sat for three weeks at an another area GM dealership. He said they could get it in for an evaluation, and two days later it was fully repaired and operating great. I had a warning re problem with steering assistance. Belle Tire advised me there were several issues and that the car was under warranty. I asked LaFontaine Buick if they could warranty service a car not purchased there. They said yes and scheduled a service appointment. I dropped off the car when the dealership was closed. They called me the next day to tell me all repairs were complete.

Not happy about 3% credit card charge. I’ve been servicing my car there since 2018 and always charged without issue. I don’t mind paying by check but don’t usually carry checkbook with me and just hearing about the new addl charge ($11)when I’m checking out was inappropriate. Also disappointed your coffee machine was out of order. That may sound petty and Normally wouldn’t be an issue but I had a 7:30 am appt on a very cold and snowy day and was looking forward to getting a hot cup of coffee while I waited almost 2 hours for my car.

Made it a point to let me know I needed new cabin and engine air filter. Yet when I go to leave I see my tires are rated poor. If I would have know I would have booked an appointment to get new tires done. Not sure if advisor hates women as I had my hands full with my baby etc. Never asked if I needed help just kept running off on me.

I had an appointment for 3:00 PM on Wednesday (which I had made 2 day s earlier). By near closing time at 6:00 PM I had not heard anything from dealer - I called and the service advisor checked and said my Sierra 2500 Denali and not been looked at yet. I asked why and he said they were busy. I have an appointment for a reason -- even at that, I should have been called and advised, I'm not unreasonable, but poor communications. I was told they wold look at the truck first thing Thursday morning -- it was 11 AM before I heard from then. Let's be honest, we pay premium prices at dealerships -- I expect at the least better communications.

It was ok but still not pleased had to bring in second time to be fully fixed. First time damaged parts were left in my car which I think was ridiculous being it’s covered under my bumper to bumper warranty on my new car. That should have never happened.
